The State of Helium in Australia – Sept 2021

The State of Helium in Australia IS…only getting stronger!

Anonymous

Wondering how popular Helium is in Australia at the moment? Or how how the Helium miners/hotspots have performed earnings-wise over the past 12 months?

Note that hotspots are largely only coming on stream now. A handful of lucky Australians received their units a little early, and then some are using hotspots that aren’t certified for use in Australia ie. deemed illegal in the eyes of ACMA. Also, past performance is not an indicator of future performance, etc etc…

I don’t know when the first hotspot came online in Australia, but I’d guess no more than 4 months ago.

Anyway, here you go:

Note: Earnings are listed in Helium token (HNT).

  • Only 150 total hotspots in Australia
  • 896 HNT earned (roughly AU$27,776 in today’s money with HNT at ~AU$31 per token)
  • Average of $185 per hotspot for the last 12 months
  • Top 3 states for the last 12 months are NSW, QLD then SA

ACT/Canberra CLEARLY has some catching up to do. 🙂

Anyway, there’s the snapshot to capture this point in time.  What do you think?  More or less than anticipated? How quickly do you think this is gonna change?

If you find this content informative, or if it has helped you out in some way, here’s my Helium wallet address.  A coffee, a beer or a little bit of HNT to offset some of the operating costs is always appreciated! Thanks.
